Journey...
Sometimes I find it weird yet exciting how my perception towards my works changes everyday... most of the time when I draw or design something, I can always find mistakes when I see them again in the next morning. The thing is, when I was doing it.. it feels 'perfect' in a way... which is proven WRONG!! I guess this means I'm still in the process of learning... which is fantastic!
I wonder when will I wake up the next day and still satified with all my (previous) works... I think I'll find it quite scary and I think that's a sign that I need to change my direction (move on to music instrument maybe?) :-) For now I'm happy on the 'unperfectness' of my works though, at least everyday is a new step for me.
Image: Sorry, no new work yet... attached is the older illustration of the same series as my first post below. Enjoy! .. btw, I can spot more than 10 things that I can fix in there... gulp... Look at the boy's foot!!! argh! My eyess!!!
Quotes of the day:
"Be patient and persistent. Always know what you want and keep heading in that direction. Any step towards your goal is good, no matter how minor."
-Doug Chiang-
At seventy-three I learned a little about the real structure of animals, plants, birds, fishes and insects. Consequently when I am eighty I'll have made more progress. At ninety I'll have penetrated the mystery of things. At a hundred I shall have reached something marvellous, but when I am a hundred and ten everything I do, the smallest dot, will be alive.
-Katsushika Hokusai-
Since the age of six I have had the habit of sketching forms of objects. Although from about fifty I have often published my pictorial works, before the seventieth year none is worthy.
-Katsushika Hokusai-
If Heaven had only granted me five more years, I could have become a real painter.

wonderfully playful cartoons, Charles ... I enjoyed the other one along a similar vein, as well.
Great artist quotes, btw. A great deal of truth in them all.
